Up for sale is this Hostess Cake Kitchen wood crate. The crate is very solid with no major splitting or any wood rot. The rivets attaching the galvanized corners are all in tact. The writings are on both long sides. On the sides it reads “Property Of Hostess Cake Kitchen Continental Baking Company Omaha Nebraska.” One of the side is more legible. All lettering is embossed. Not just merely painted. The graphics on the inside are pretty awesome looking. These graphics are on both short sides. They are also embossed. It reads “Cesco Container Company New York, N.Y. Northampton, Mass. 1-51.” The crate measures 17 1/4 in. long, 14 in. deep and is 5 1/4 in. high.
