The dictionary contains about 1000 terms related to colored stone and found in Russian (and translated) special and fiction literature. In Russian, such a dictionary is published for the first time. The list of terms is preceded by a preface, which characterizes the state of gemology and provides a modern classification of stones. The dictionary can serve as a brief terminological reference for specialists working with colored stone, and is mainly intended for a wide range of collectors and lovers of natural stone.
