●DESCRIPTION
[1950s famous sports car that fascinated celebrities all over the world]
The so-called gull-wing door, which opens upward, can be said to be one of the elements of a super sports car. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, a sports car with the nickname [Gull Wing], made its debut in 1954.
With its high performance and attractive form that adopted the mechanism of the prototype sports car that showed great success in the 1952 race, it immediately captivated celebrities all over the world.
Above all, the multi-tubular space frame was the most advanced racing technology at that time.
Because the frame is on the side of the body, it couldn't be a normal side-opening door, and the gull-wing door was adopted as a structural necessity.
