New Jakar Pocket Slide Rule 13 cm (5")  No. 523A Rietz

Silver box may be a little crushed

This is a rare opportunity to own an old, but new item!

(As they say on the Antiques Road Show, they are 'new old stock')

I have obtained a small quantity of these slide rules which were made in Japan by Fuji for the British Market and were branded for and distributed by Jakar International Ltd, a family run business established in 1949.

The slide rules are circa 1970, so are over 50 years old.  They have been sealed in their outer cartons, never having seen the light of day since they were manufactured, so they are in fact new.

Although not a rare item at the time of manufacture, they are certainly rare now and in such pristine condition, they are perfect little gems of history.

For students, engineers, auctioneers and draughtsmen

Comes supplied in a polythene bag, in a blue plastic wallet and in its original silver box. NO INSTRUCTIONS

Scales on one side of the centre slide are B, Cl and C and on the reverse are S, L and T.
