NEW!!! MAMMILLARIA MONTENSIS- Properly a variety of Mammillaria standleyi (Britton et Rose), Gentry, 1942. Formerly Neomammillaria standlleyi, Briton et Rose, 1923, etc., this plant from a sub population identified in 1945. These are a bit different than the normal M. standleyi. Nice clean plant grown from seed, on own roots. Size is aprx. 3 inches wide and 2 inches tall max. Native originally to the states of Chihuahua, Sonora and Sinaloa, Mexico. Very attractive red to purple flowers when blooming, the plant itself has a lot of contrast between the spines, wool and body- a really beautiful plant! Hardy and fairly easy to grow in most climates, but should be protected from frost and freezing. These do not seem to be much available, we see none on eBay, not common like it's close relative. Photos here are of the actual plant we are selling, sent bare root (no pot). FREE SHIPPING!
