This 12.8v 3.3 AMP Intelligent High Frequency Charger is suitable for MOTOCADDY golf trollies with 12.8v (4S) LiFePO4 battery packs fitted with a BLUE & BLACK ANDERSON battery connectors as per picture 2.
Contrary
to popular belief, LiFePO4 batteries should only be charged using a
specific LiFePO4 charger, not a lead/acid or Li-ion charger.
This charger is programmed with 3 auto charging stages: Ip–Im–Um.
Stage “Ip” is a pre-charge function for deep discharged battery packs - This is helpful for battery cycle life!
When the battery is recovered by the small current pre-charge, stage “Im” will give bulk current charging (up to 50W).
Then, “Um” stage is followed, the output voltage is limited on C.V. point until the charge current has fallen to 0.1 C.C. value.
At this stage the battery is charged completely and the charger will turn off automatically.
The whole process is indicated by an LED display.
