Exquisite Antique Royal Saxe Bone China Lidded Sugar Bowl & Cream Pitcher made in Bohemia, Austria between 1886 and 1910 by Charles Ahrenfeldt & Sons (original maker of Limoges). The pieces are hand painted with blue & white cornflowers, green leaves and trimmed out with gold gilt. The centers of the blue cornflowers are deep burgundy. The china has raised relief swirls throughout, some of which are painted gold and some are left white. The sugar bowl measures 4 1/2" high with the lid, 5" from handle to handle and is 4" wide. The creams is 4 1/2" high at the handle, 3 7/8" high at the spout, 4 1/2" from handle to spout and 3 1/2" side. The bottoms are marked in blue with a crown indicating "Royal" and the name SAXE. They are also numbered; the creamer is 1381/III 301 and the sugar is 1381/301. These are in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or flea bites. The paint is beautiful, there is very minor wear on the gold of the creamer handle (see last close up photo). These are authentic and rare Austrian pieces that were later copied by English manufacturers.

I have other matching pieces to this pattern in my Ebay store, a large serving platter and a cup & saucer set. If you are interested in purchasing these as well, please send me a message so I can combine your shipping fees.
