Measuring about 11x7.5 inches or 28x19cm, albumen print, signed in the negative G.W.W., showing a sheep meadow in the foreground and the many-turreted edifice of the Royal Infirmary in the background. Wilson, whose work is frequently sold at auction, was a British photographer based in Aberdeen, Scotland, who worked all over the UK, Ireland, Spain and South Africa (see Gary Edwards' International Guide to Nineteenth-Century Photographers, pp. 575-78).

Very sharp with some tonal changes and silvering around the edges.
