5. Vintage Simplicity pattern 6781, c.1980.

Child's Skirt and Pants in Two Lengths with Detachable Bib: The short skirt V.1 or the ankle length skirt V.2 and the long pants V.3 or 4 and short pants V.5 or 6 with front waistband, back elastic casing and optional patch pockets feature detatachable bib. V.1, 2, 5 & 6 have contrasting pockets. V.3,4,5 & 6 may be trimmed with novelty trim or buttons on waistband. Detachable bib V.1 and 2 with suspenders may be trimmed with embroidered eyelet edging. Detachable bib V.3,4,5 & 6 with suspenders may be trimmed with hook-up closures.

A-line robe, in above-knee or ankle length, has mandarin collar, patch pockets and slightly bell-shaped sleeves. Optional lace trim. Pajamas, in above-knee or ankle length, has round neckline with self bias trim and bow. Full length elasticized sleeves or sleeveless. With or without elasticized legs. Optional eyelet or rick-rack trim.

Long sleeves, view 1 and 2, and short sleeves, view 3 are gathered at head and elasticized at lower edge. View 1 has self fabric neck binding with self fabric rouleau bow, and yoke frill. View 2 and 3 have contrast collar (edged with trimming for view 2 ) and ribbon bow. View 3 features deep frill around lower edge.

Child's and Girls' Dress in Two Lengths: The dress with skirt gathered to bodice at waistline has back zipper, set-in sleeves, high round neckline and ribbon tie belt. Ankle length V. 1, 2 and 3 with stand-up collar are body lined. V. 1 and 2 have long sleeves gathered to buttoned cuffs. V. 1 has self-fabric ruffle. V. 3 and 4 have short puff sleeves gathered with elastic casings forming self ruffles. Collarless V. 4 is mini length.

Childs' Dress or Top and Pants: Dress or top with front gathered into front band and elastic in back casing, has armhole bands tied in back, halter style. A, B has ruffling. A, C has belt drawn thru thread loops. Pants have elastic in waistline casing.

Boy's Trousers in Two Lengths, Shirt and Sleeveless Jacket: View A long trousers and View B shorts have waistband with elastic inserted from side fronts round the back. The shirt with bias roll collar has back zip fastening and long set-in sleeves gathered into buttoned cuffs. The unlined, sleeveless and collarless jacket has V neckline with top-stitched trim, tabs at front lower edges from side seams.

Pattern has been used. Three minor pieces are missing - the back neck facing for jacket, the tab for the jacket, the cuff for the shirt. Packet is in good condition - corners crumpled, 3 cm tear at top back edge.

V. 1 robe has front button closing, long bell sleeves and trim creating simulated front yoke. Nightgown V. 1 and pajama top V. 2 with front gathered to yoke has front button opening and long set-in sleeves gathered with elastic casings forming self ruffles. Pants V. 2 without side seams have elastic waistline casing.
