by 5 inches, bound in green cloth with red and black
ink, including a pair of lips on the front panel. 
Original jacket, featuring art by Mac Harshberger, 
is now protected in mylar wrap. In 1929, Thurston
tried to stage an adaptation of this novel, but
it was banned by Lord Chamberlain. 


Condition:  Good condition in G+ jacket. Spine mottled,
some rubbed spots to top edge. Two pages darkened, one
leaf coming  loose from binding,
light toning elsewise. Jacket with chipping to top edge,
one small tear, rubbing. See photos.
