Filmoplast is a self adhesive non woven backing. Lay your material onto the sticky surface and embroider without the need for framing. Very easy to stitch through, designed to leave in after completion of the embroidery.

FILMOPLAST® is one of the most versatile and useful embroidery stabilisers as only the Filmoplast is hooped in the frame, the fabrics to be embroidered are simply placed on top, preventing frame marks on delicate fabrics.

What is filmoplast?
It is a non-woven backing with an adhesive coating covered by a sheet of release paper with a grid, intended to act as a carrier for your item that is to be embroidered. It will stabilise woven and knit materials, improving stitch quality and will stabilise smaller pieces or awkward pieces not suitable for hooping, including caps and will NOT gum up your needle.

Used correctly, FILMOPLAST® is economical as any holes can be Simply filled with remnant pieces.

Main Applications
To bond all fabric weights from light too heavy without the use of heat and an iron.
To stabilise stretch fabrics, like T-shirts, polo shirts and similar materials which contain elastane, etc.
To stabilising delicate fabrics to ensure no framing marks are seen on materials such as velvet, towelling, fleece, or dark fabric types.
For difficult to hoop areas for example on trouser and shirt pockets, collars, cuffs, ribbons, etc.

Dispatch Time

Our aim is to dispatch all goods from our warehouse by the next working day after receipt of order.

We work with a number of different couriers, primarily the Royal Mail and DPD. At point of dispatch we choose the best courier for the order you have placed so that the goods arrive in a good condition and in a timely manner.

In most case your goods will arrive between 2 – 4 days of order.

UK Economy Delivery (Second Class RM48)

Our products are shipped free of charge by ‘standard’ postage, to our customers in the UK. The free postage service is Royal Mail second class post. We do not charge for additional items.

Delivery by standard postage is normally between 2-4 working days from date of dispatch.

UK Standard Delivery (First Class RM24)

The 'First Class' option is a faster service than the ‘Standard’ option and will prioritise your order through our system. First class is NOT a ‘Next day service’. First Class goods are NOT guaranteed for next day delivery.

To upgrade to a dispatch by first class post there is a small standard fee with no additional charge for additional items.

Delivery is normally between 1-3 working days from date of dispatch.

UK Express Delivery (24 Hour Courier)

We will despatch your order on an overnight delivery service as long as we have the order in our system before 11:00am on the day of despatch.

Our cut off time for same day dispatch is 11:00am and orders must be placed before 11:00am for next day delivery. This service is a tracked service and may require a signature on receipt.

To upgrade to the Express Delivery Service there is an and additional fee with no additional charge for additional items.

  • Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays are not counted as working days.
  • You must place your order before 11:00am on the day of despatch to be eligible.
  • Orders received after 11:00am will be despatched on the next working day, for next day delivery*
  • Our couriers may require a signature on delivery or leave in a safe place according to your preferences.

* For example, an order placed at 10:45am on Monday is guaranteed to be delivered on Tuesday. An order placed at 12:15pm on Monday, is guaranteed to be delivered by Wednesday.

International - Europe

We ship into Europe for a flat rate fee

Delivery can take 5 - 10 working days

Heavy items will cost more to post and will be shipped via a courier such as UPS or similar. If the item is heavy the postage cost is still a flat rate fee but will be more expensive.

International - Worldwide

We ship Worldwide for a flat rate fee.

Thank you for ordering from Barnyarns where your business is very much appreciated. We offer a 60 day return window. If you would like to return an item to us within 60 days of receipt, you are most welcome to do so. Returns over 60 days are unfortunately not accepted.

We ask you to do this so that we are able to ensure you receive the correct refund.

Delivery Costs

Faulty items or incorrectly dispatched items will be replaced or refunded in full at our expense.
