Sturdy combat knife in excellent+ to mint conditions.
JorFra was founded by Mr. Jorge Francisco Tunno in 1981. In 1989 he acquired the building it currently occupies at 2442/44 Las Palmas Street, in the neighborhood of Pompeya, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Today it has 41 years dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of bladed weapons for the Argentine military and security forces, as well as for other forces of foreign countries: sabers, swords, couteaux, short swords, commando and survival knives, daggers, military and security equipment.
Carbon steel bowie blade with a fuller in each side, fully inspired on WWII US USNMK2 or 1219C2 knife, nowadays called or a.k.a "Kabar"
The manufacturer's logo, JORFRA, is engraved on right ricazzo.
On the left side of the blade there are marked the words "GENDARMERIA NACIONAL", the Rockwell hardness tests on right ricazzo. The handguard, the pommel and solid hilt are made of a single piece of aluminum, glossy black enamel painted.
Green cordura scabbard, sewed, with a bronze eyelet and a rope to tie to the leg, it has a belt loop riveted to the scabbard with a double face Velcro hilt strap and a steel US M1910 type hook.
