Metalurgica Erizo (Hedgehog Metalurgy) was a knives manufacturer placed in the City of Rio Cuarto, Province of Cordoba, Argentina, that was producing and selling for military and sports/outdoors from June 1974 until September 1996. The attached catalogue can be dated between 1983 and 1985, when the maker's logo was changed from the "ERIZO" word (1974-1983/85 period) to the logo of the little animal with the words "IND.ARG." inside and oval and/or the letter "M" & "E" inside a circle in the right scale (1983/85-1996 period)
Carbon steel bowie full tang blade, polished, sharpened, eight double-teeths sawback, blank without manufacturer's logo
The handguard is welded to the blade, the pommel has a breaker or hammer design with a lanyard hole.
Grips are two strurdy black plastic pannels with bronze rivets, the M&E logo are on right pannel.
Green cordura scabbard, sewed (some stitches lost), with a blet loop with a hilt strap with snap fastener and a steel US M1910 type hook.
