They are a popular garden ornament and / or are an ideal support for the uprights in oak framed buildings.  It would also suit a variety of oak posts. 

Staddle stones were originally used as supporting bases to raise tithe barns, hayricks, game larders and granaries off the ground.

Antique large hand carved Ragstone Staddle stone base - please note that there is not a top with this.

Height: 3ft or 90cm

Top Seat 7 to 8 inches roughly square or approximately 20cm

Bottom Width: 18 inches or 45cm
