ABOUT CAPODIMONTE

Did you know that the word "Capodimonte" literally means "top of the mountain"?

Well, the short version of the story is that in 1738, when Charles VII of Naples took as his bride Princess Maria Amelia Christina of Saxony, he received as a portion of a dowry, Meissen porcelain. As a connoisseur of art, Charles decided that such beauty should be produced in Italy and, thereafter, in 1743, he commissioned the Royal Manufactory of Porcelain on the grounds of the royal palace, which was perched on top of a hill and soon it became known a the “Capodimonte.”

Exchanges must be pre-authorized by our Customer Service Department. There is no refund on Shipping and Handling.  Should you have any problems with your item, you must report WITHIN 3 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF DELIVERY. DELIVERY TIME Due to the pandemic, shipping time may extend beyond 15 business days
BUYER'S OBLIGATION
 All Capodimonte pieces are fragile and a great care is given to packaging this merchandise before it is accepted by the transportation company.    Therefore, should any breakage occurs, we must process the claim with the Transportation Company.   Please do not return the shipment to us without first ascertaining our authorization. 

VERY IMPORTANT: When you receive your item, if the outside of the box is significantly damaged, please inform the delivery courier immediately, and also informs us. The reason for this is the content we shipped to you is fragile and although we go through great length to protect it, sometimes, damage to the outside box could cause damage to your item. In such rare cases, the delivery company may request that you open the box in their presence and have

   the transportation company's driver, notarizing the damages. WITHOUT THE SIGNATURE YOUR CLAIM WILL NOT BE VALID. You must e-mail us within 3 days and notify us of the damages and within that same time frame you must submit to me a copy of your bill of lading receipt notarizing the damages.

When you unpack and discover any damage, do not destroy the case, carton or package.   Please then contact the transportation company and inform them of the damage and request an inspection.  Once the inspection is completed, the inspector will provide you with an inspection report which we need  a copy of in order to process your claim with the shipping company.  Once claim has been filed, we  will notify you and give you further instructions and return authorization.

The freight bill with the agent's notation of damage on it or the concealed damage report is your basis for filing a claim with  the transportation company.  Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you comply with the above instructions, so that we may assist in you in expeditiously receiving the funds.
