[There's some slight scuffing of the painted surfaces toward the middle of the graphic iconography. This would be considered minor & doesn't interfere with viewing the image.]

Weight: 1 lb. 12 oz.

DESCRIPTION:
A left-facing DeKalb corn advertising sign. Fairly large at nearly 32" length by nearly 17" in height. It's relatively clean and has great, undiminished color. This signage was produced after porcelain and tin were displaced by more modern materials, such as masonite, as a surface for the color lithographed printed graphic iconography. It has great cut-out profile and strong, wonderful graphics, featuring a husked corn ear with two green wings attached to its top, as if ready to take flight. Produced most likely just after WWII. The company has now disbanded but was once a leader in the development of hybrid corn. The edges of the masonite sign don't suffer from any noticeable, appreciable flea-bites, material loss, folds, creases, dings or dents. There's some minor scuffing of the enamel paint toward the center of the sign. The sign's masonite surface has four pre-drilled holes for wall-hanging. Produced by DeKalb to promote their companies' name, branding and hybrid corn development among mid-western farmers, American and international agricultural investors. Very handsome. Nice.

CONDITION:
Good to Very Good overall vintage condition.
