• Telephone Pioneers of America was founded in Boston at a November 1911 meeting at the Somerset Hotel. In attendance at the 1911 Boston meeting were 244 founding members including Alexander Graham Bell. The major goals were to perpetuate the ideals and traditions of the industry and promote the fellowships that were formed as a natural result of their teamwork.
• More than 110 years later, the Pioneers legacy has included volunteering, meeting the needs of disabled individuals, support of educational programs and so much more.
