Up for auction is a Antq John Deere Offset Open End Tractor/Implement 9 1/4" Wrench with original "DEERE" milled Capital Block Letters with serifs on both sides of the shaft.  It is has rounded opening type. The DEERE name was not milled hard enough at the factory and is quite faint on one side. On the better side the brand is weak at the top of the letters. It weighs .78 lb. The openings are 1 1/6" and the other end is 7/8". The wrench is 1/4" thick. I think this is a fairly early wrench because it appears to be fairly crude. I found this recently included in a box of my great-grandfather's tools. He died in 1928. He custom cut prairie grass for hay to sell to the R/R crew while they were building the R/R across Montana in 1880. He may have used this tool then and then kept it to use when he farmed in the Yakima Valley, WA Territory/State.
-   This old wrench is in solid condition and wasn't abused.
