This is a superbly RARE alabaster jar found in Egypt, dates to the 26th to 31st dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BC. A solid egg shaped piece with a great ancient patina that gives it a beautiful look.

Egyptians used these types of jars as containers for perfume and other cosmetics such as kohl and paint.
