Interesting advertising piece which consists of a printed advert behind glass and encapsulated within a metal ashtray. Not sure of the date but probably 1920s/30s. Leonard Mitchell's shops finally closed in 1982 and Len Mitchell died in 1987 at the age of 88, and was fondly remembered.

      Size:

      13.5 cm across.

      Condition:

Metal tarnished and rubbed and some discolouration to advert, else fine.

I also happen to have a copy of the 1887 book 'A History of Darlaston' by Frederick Hackwood in auction at the moment.
