A little about PVC: PVC is a material that is designed to be water repellent, UV safe, and heat resistant by its very nature. PVC is a 3 ply fabric consisting of a piece of scrim laminated between 2 sheets of polyvinyl film. However, the middle layer, also known as the fill, can be made of anything from cotton, fiberglass, nylon, polyester to a combination of any. At Surefire Productions, we understand this, and choose only the very best material. If the material is poor, like many mass produced PVC units, the heat seams are not as strong. When putting 32 x17 feet of any airtight fabric into the wind and air, strength is obviously a  major concern.
