Vintage American Mastercraft 1834 Doge Phelps Heavy Brass Shell Bowl.

I found this awesome bowl at an estate sale of an antiques dealer. This bowl weighs 10 lbs so it’s very HEAVY. I think the bowl is from the 1950s but I am not certain about that, its just my best guess. The patina looks great, it’s a bit dark on the outside but if you like your brass to shine you could polish it with some Brasso until it glows. It has a shell pattern every 90 degrees around the outside of the bowl which looks awesome. This heavy bowl could be used for many different purposes. It could be a centerpiece bowl on the table. It could be a change bowl. It would make a great flower pot. The shell pattern makes for great Salt Life Decor or it would look awesome in a Beach House.
