Art-Deco bracelet designed by Raymond C. Yard.

A beautiful pearls bracelet created around the early 1940's by the famous jewelry designer Raymond C. Yard. Is a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind piece, crafted in solid .900/1000 platinum and suited, with 4 spacers dividers with a double push lock and a hinged slash for extra security.

The main element is fully decorated with natural gemstones and is prong set in the center with an oval cabochon cut (14 x 20 x 8 mm) of a moonstone gem, with a weight of 16.53 carats.

The moonstone is embellished around, with 10 round cabochons cut of blue sapphires (3.5 Ctw) and with 32 round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.56 carats, E/F color, VS-1 clarity. All accented, by 22 round white pearls of 4 mm. The gemstones settings are finished, with millegrain patterns.

The bracelet is composed by 72 white rounds pearls of 6.5 mm, divided in 3 rows.

The total weight of this piece is 39.95 grams and fit a wrist up to 7.25 inches, (can be enlarged adding pearls or shortened). The widest part have a measure of 30 mm (1.18 inches).

Is stamped with the maker's mark, the serial numbers and signed, "YARD PLAT A28264".

Raymond C. Yard, began his career in the jewelry business in 1898 as a door boy at Marcus & Co. It was during this period that the newly affluent American industrial families began to patronize American jewelers like Tiffany & Co. Yard was encouraged by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., to open his own company; Rockefeller recommended the Yard firm to his family and connections, and shortly Yard was creating jewels for the Woolworth, Flagler, Dupont, Harriman, and the Vanderbilt families.

The firm, Raymond C. Yard, focused primarily on custom pieces for their clientele and was known for sourcing the highest quality of materials that his clientele demanded. Stock pieces were executed by the highest level of outside manufacturers, with Yard supplying the stones and designs.

His creations exemplified the understated elegance of impeccable workmanship combined with the very finest of materials. Raymond Yard prided himself on his knowledge of gems and was considered one of the foremost experts on pearls.
