11W NICELITE LED EXCEEDS 6W HALOGEN: With a Nicelite bulb, lights can be far brighter
than previously. From tests and customer reviews, illumination by a 1W Nicelite bulb (140 lumens)
is superior to a 6W halogen bulb (100 lumens), which in any case would be far too hot for many
lights.
The increase in visibility is from a combination of (a) much higher lumens, (b) pure white light,
(c) a smoother beam

2. CONSTANT BRIGHTNESS: All Nicelite bulbs work within a voltage range, and employ power
compensation circuitry to maintain the LED at full brightness down to a low voltage, utilizing the
maximum battery capacity. They operate at a much lower power level than filament bulbs of the
same brightness for extended battery life, minimising cost, waste, and operating temperature.
Rechargeable batteries can be used for even greater savings.

3. NO POLARITY: Nicelite bulbs, indicated by "NO POLARITY" in the table, never require
reversal of the battery direction. This is important as it can be impossible to reverse the cells,
including cordless lights.

WHEN BUYING MORE THAN ONE BULB CODE, IF POSSIBLE PLEASE
ADD THEM TO YOUR BASKET AND CHECK THEM ALL OUT TOGETHER.

NOTES:

PLEASE NOTE: The bulbs in this item are not designed for bicycle dynamos and hub generators.
There is a separate eBay item for LED dynamo bulbs, which are many times brighter than
standard dynamo lights. Please see our "Other Items" with two bulbs on a green background.

Do not look directly at the LED or shine into eyes when illuminated. Always remove or
disconnect the power supply before changing a bulb.

STANDARD BEAM bulbs are designed for modern parabolic reflectors, and produce a controlled
beam similar to the original incandescent bulb, only much brighter and whiter in flashlights,
cycle lights, and head torches, etc.

UNIVERSAL BEAM bulbs are the most versatile. They reliably provide enhanced, smoother
beams with non-standard reflectors such as oval (sometimes fitted to cycle lights), extra wide,
extra narrow beam angle or irregular shaped reflectors, in addition to typical
compact modern
reflectors. They also provide 180° hemispherical illumination for
close-up work, cupboard
lights, lantern domes, 3D viewers, etc.

Universal Beam bulbs give a light output distribution similar to original filament bulbs
(but much brighter and whiter), and consistently produce improved illumination when retrofitted
into the wide variety of designs including vintage lights which can have either:

a) an ultra-narrow beam width, or (b) large, wide angle reflectors

Universal Beam
bulbs work equally well in modern hand lamps and head torches, and they are
recommended for all battery bicycle headlights, both modern and vintage.

RED NICELITE BULBS FOR RED AND CLEAR LENSES. For bicycle tail lights, use a red LED bulb.
The red light will pass through a red lens with little loss, unlike filament bulbs where all the light
Is stopped by the red filter except the red component.

Voltages can be efficiently reduced with a Buck Module (DC-DC step down unit) to operate Nicelite
bulbs in the correct voltage range. Waterproof units are available. A fixed 5V output is ideal (USB).
One application is electric bikes and scooters.

The Nicelite listed watts (W) is the actual power used, and is directly related to battery run time.
For highest efficiency the LEDs are operated well below their maximum power rating. For instance
NL322 and NL343 have 3W rated LEDs, but actually run at 1W.
