Up for consideration is an antique porcelain plaque likely made by KPM Berlin.  It is not marked as to maker; the porcelain is incised with a number 107.  It depicts cupid and Venus in a garden.  The plaque is well done and in very nice condition. There is a small area at the top right of the painting that is missing paint (white area) as shown in photo.  The porcelain measures about 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" in size.  The back of the porcelain has a rusty color across it; it does not wash off.  It also looks like some old writing is on it but far to faint to read.  I do not see a signature on the painting.

As shown in the last photo, a similar KPM Berlin porcelain had the same image of Cupid and Venus.  It however did have the KPM mark incised on its porcelain.  It was about 2" larger in size than this one in both length and width. It had an incredible frame which I'm sure also factored into its sale price of more than $3700.

The frame for this listing was custom made to fit the porcelain plaque and it measures about 8" x 10".  (Just an fyi, by cutting down the frame size it caused misalignment of the seams thus the seams are uneven. I had it redone and it is better, but due to the decoration, the seams can't be made to fit exact due to the reduced image size.) I have not put the glass over the porcelain as the surface is painted and glazed. However, I have the piece of glass if you'd like me to send it with the framed plaque.
