PURPLE JELLYFISH CHANDELIER 

The Immortal Jellyfish Chandelier, taking in an ironic key the precious eighteenth-century chandeliers in Bohemian crystal, is a hymn to immortality and Beauty inserted in an ecofriendly logic of transformation. As a handmade product, on the one hand it can present asymmetries and imperfections, on the other it is unique.
In accordance with Amira di Transilvania environmental responsibility priciples and with its great attention to the recycling problem, the Chandelier offers a new, aesthetically original and artistically valuable, life to materials otherwise intended to increase pollution.
Thus Amira Munteanu Bergmann transforms the useless and harmful "garbage" destined to permanently disfigure the environment in its opposite, eternalizing it in an art object that embodies Beauty.
Therefore, the Chandelier is made of various waste materials (from ball pens to ribbons spools, from bottle and jars caps to the cage of a fan...) assembled creating the silhouette of an Immortal Jellyfish (Turritopsis nutricula - a creature capable of reversing its life cycle to become, at least potentially, immortal), colored red (symbol of blood and life) and embellished with rhinestones similar to rubies (emblems of longevity).
