 You are looking at a unique and rare 1940's era American RC crystal microphone made in Los Angeles, California. This particular model still has the hard to find detachable chrome desk stand in which to display this mic.

 Pic # 2 shows this very model from an old American catalog I have.

 This mic was originally intended for home recording and general broadcasting purposes.  

 The microphone has been tested but no longer works as the crystal element is dead. One can always replace this element for something that works of course. Overall a decent example of an early American RC model microphone. The all metal body shows very typical wear in the form of paint chips. It's free of any dents or engravings however and the front chrome grill looks quite nice with very lite wear. The black inner cloth screen is free of any rips or holes. Mic has all original screws and components. I would give it a solid 7 on a scale of 1 - 10.

 This RC mic comes with the original cable but it was shortened for cosmetic reasons. The cable is soft, pliable and 8 inches long. Comes with the period 1/4 male end connector.

           MICROPHONE STAND IS PART OF THIS SALE...

 The stand is actually a hard to find American model that originally came with the mic. It's perfect for smaller to medium size model mics and detached from the base allowing the user to walk around with the mic as a handle. The stand has a bit of weight to it as well making it quite stable and harder to knock over.

 You can see in the pics that the stand has a bit of wear to it in the form of pitting and a few scratches. It's free of any dents and still has the original rubber gasket / pad on the bottom of the base. The stand overall is just slightly rougher than the mic. I'd give a true 6 on a scale of 1 - 10.

 The handle will unscrew from the base with a twist or can lock into place to keep it from coming out easily.

 The stand with mic attached is appx 7 1/2 inches tall X 4 1/4 inches wide. 

 This would make a cool display piece anywhere in the home, office or studio.
