Versatile Electronic Control

The 5236 & 5246 Series Push button & key switch Consoles are a simple cost effective solution for door control. Designed to be easily mounted under a desk for concealment or wall mounted for accessibility. A Receptionist, Bank or Retail clerk can lock or unlock and restrict the use of electrically operated entrance control systems, alarms, electric locks and other simi­ lar equipment. These actuation devices will limit operation to only authorized personnel; or in the case of the 5246 series limit operation to only key carrying personnel.

 

Single or Multiple Door Control

Ideal for controlling single or multiple door access into buildings with electromagnetic locks or strikes. Utilize a 5236 series push but­ ton console to control from one to three doors or a combination of a Key switch and up to 4 push buttons on the 5246 series. The key switch on the 5246 series can also be used to shunt alarms or reset delayed egress controls.

Other applications can include mode selection of day/night control for automatic door opera­ tors. Optional LED indicators may be used in combination with push buttons to indicate door status or Key switch position (on-off)

Push buttons come standard as SPOT Momen­ tary action.


 

 

 

Key Switch Contact Outputs

5246 Series Key switch consoles are available with a variety of Contact outputs. Key switch­ es can be specified as SPOT or DPDT. Key operation may be supplied as key removable in either or both positions depending on the appli­ cation.

The switch contacts are rated for 3 amps at 125 YAC or 28 VDC. Color coded, 7" leads are easily connected to field wiring.

 

Custom Switch / LED Configurations Multiple key switches, push buttons and LEDs are available to meet any required operation. Double Pole Double Throw switches may be substituted instead of the standard single pole provided. Maintained Push buttons or Toggle switches may also be substituted in place of the standard Momentary Push buttons.

The 5236 Series Console is a compact size unit 2-1/2"long by 2" wide by I" high it features a snap fit cover.

The 5246 Series is larger with a screw on cover 3-3/4"long by 2-1/2" wide by 1-1/2"
