Darker Than Amber
(1970 - 2 Full Screen DVD-R's - Color - 96 min)

Released August 1970, Public Domain August 1998

Note: There are two English language discs. The disc with the rare full uncut fight sequence runs 82 minutes 44 seconds with non removable Dutch subtitles. The second disc is a longer TV version with scenes not included on the Dutch subtitle version but the fight sequence has been edited down. Some general release versions had a 96 minute running time where the full fight sequence was also edited.  A bit of warning. The original fight sequence is not for the faint of heart. It is very brutal where Rod Taylor's nose was actually broken and William Smith suffered as well with three broken ribs. What started out as a planned staged fight scene devolved into a real one! For the era it was considered one of the most ferocious fight scenes ever done and frankly it's still pretty hard to watch.
