Official kilns of the Republic of China

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, in order to resist the dumping of foreign porcelain, many insightful people advocated the establishment of new porcelain companies to work hard to strengthen and revitalize national porcelain, and dozens of porcelain companies sprang up all over the country, including the most famous one - Jiangxi Porcelain Company. In fact, as early as 1910, the Jiangxi Porcelain Company was established in the second year of the Qing dynasty Xuanzong (1910), opening the era of Chinese ceramics production entrepreneurship. As this porcelain company existed from 1910 to 1949, it carried the title of "one of the only flowers of revival in the history of Chinese ceramics", and it was a new type of kiln that replaced the imperial kiln factory, representing the advanced productivity of the ceramic industry in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, and was known as the "official kiln of the Republic of China".

According to the Jingdezhen City Magazine and the Jingdezhen Ceramics History, in 1903, Jiangxi provincial governor Ke Fengsi submitted a proposal to the Qing court to establish the Jingdezhen Porcelain Company, suggesting that "the government should raise 100,000 taels of silver, and the remainder should be collected by the government itself. In the 33rd year of the Guangxu period (1907), the governor of the two rivers, Duanfang, submitted a proposal to change the company to a commercial one: "Jiangxi Jingdezhen Porcelain Company was originally intended to be a joint venture between the government and the business, but no practical solution has been found so far, so it is better to change the company to a commercial one. In 1909, Jiangxi Jingdezhen Porcelain Company was approved for incorporation. In 1910, the Jiangxi porcelain company was formally established in Jingdezhen, the nature of the company is still set as a joint government-business operation. In addition to Zhang Jizhi straight, Yuan Qiu Hang, Ruihua Jun and other celebrities in the community to raise funds to subscribe to shares, the official by Hebei, Hubei, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi five provinces to raise funds, a total investment of more than 200,000 yuan, and the Qing Imperial kiln factory to the porcelain company, hired Qimen Kang Tezhang to preside over the company's business.
