Amano (Caridina multidentata)

Caridina multidentata is a species of shrimp in the family Atyidae. It is native to Japan and Taiwan. Its common names include Yamato shrimp, Japanese shrimp, Amano shrimp, and algae shrimp. They are a great algae cleaner for your aquarium and will pick away at surfaces. They are very active and will search the tank for any scrap of food they can find. They will eat decaying matter and natural algae which grows in the aquarium. Perfect for planted aquariums and suitable with most fish, we advise not keeping them with anything large or predatory.

DOA Policy

It can be very upsetting to find that your new inhabitants have perished or are missing from their journey. In the event of this happening we will either refund you or arrange a replacement within 24 hours of reporting the issue to us. Don't open the bag straight away, take as many photos as possible and get in contact! We may ask you for additional photos of the perished items, so please don't throw them away.
