THE MACABRE DANCE WITH THE SKULL TALISMAN

The Talisman of the Dance of Death is double face so you can wear it in two different ways.
The front reproduces the scene of a Macabre Dance. The back has the logo of the author of the book in homage with the pendant.
The amulet is closed by a sphere with inside a skull made of polymer resin and painted in gold.
As in carrying out ceremonies and magical rituals not only the performed gestures and the pronounced formulas but also the tools that are used are fundamental, in order for them to perform their task in the best possible way, they have to be charged with a special powerful energy. For this to happen it is essential that they are thought and produced through precise passages that, in turn, form a real magical ritual.

Ada Cattaneo, starting from an in-depth research on high and low culture, on the collective imagination and on ancient knowledge, captures and explains the various aspects inherent in the fascinating and obscure themes of both the Macabre Dances/Dances of Death and the destiny intended as Wyrd (of which the subject is author and protagonist) or as Orlog (from which one lets himself be fatally led). Thus she retraces their origins, history, evolution and reviewes their various symbolic and esoteric meanings.

The volume ends with two unpublished parts. The former explains the meanings of the three talismans related to the Grimoire and their powers. In the latter illustrates both verbally and graphically, the ritual to be performed to activate or strengthen the power of talismans.
