...Last month, when arrangements were completed for a
lest on the Honda CA95, a new 150cc OHC touring job.
the only thought left in the back of our mind was the fact
that this new test bike had one-half the engine displace-
ment of its bigger brother, reviewed earlier. Nonetheless,
as before, we were in for some surprises from this
Japanese two-wheeler.
Attractively painted in a color that we can as nearly as
possible describe as “passionate pink," the Honda 150
looks and performs like no other lightweight of that capac-
ity we have ever ridden. Chromed surfaces are evident
everywhere; side panels of the tank (including the area
covered by rubber knee pads), rear brake lever, gear shift
lever, shock absorbers and various trim found on the body.
Throughout there is a high quality of workmanship, right
down to the cap-nuts which are brightly polished.
Starting the Honda is fun—just push a button near the
twistgrip and the electric starter turns the engine over.
The starter is of automotive type; and only revolves when
being used. Unaccustomed to the bike on the first day,
we stalled it a few times in traffic, and as a result discov-
ered the real convenience of an electric starter. We did...
