I am a private bookdealer now living back in my hometown of St. Thomas, Ontario. Historically I specialized in Canadian art books and catalogues and my clients included public institutions, private collectors and commercial galleries- however a lot of my interests these days include local history, agriculture, 19th and 20th century cookbooks, ephemera, historical photographs, original art etc.

Elgin County I have found to be an excellent source of really interesting material- and I am working with a couple of local collectors who have collected an amazing amount of really rare and exotic material. Feel free to contact me with interests or want lists- and I can see what I can do to satisfy them.

I cannot explain the interest in cookbooks I have- some of them I am listing I brought from Calgary(lived there close to 30 years)- I pick up all the interesting regional, product and published ones I find- I am buried in them. In the last(10 years?) I have sold literally 100's of regional cookbooks and interesting Canadian product cookbooks. If you have specific interests like Centennial Cookbooks, St Thomas and Elgin County, Woman's Institute or any of the other organizational cookbooks just contact me and I can see if I have any of interest. I can't cook if my life depended on it- my mother was the cook in the family- but I know how important the church groups and other groups were in the fabric of Canadian lives- I can still taste the creme pies of the women of the church groups who provided the baking at the rural farm auctions I attended in Alberta. Guess I better get back to listing.
