Please note in the first gallery photo that the tone arm wiring has been upgraded to twisted wire that has the black ground wire entwined with the right channel red wire and the left channel white wire. This will minimize hum, noise, and electromagnetic interference. The theory is you will have a cancellation of opposing magnetic fields in each of the channel wires which will result in minimal amplification byour amplifier.

See The Note Below About The Use Of This Cartridge In The 45J2 and Other Players with No Amplifier:

I am offering this cartridge with stylus kit for a variety of RCA Record players and others that utilize RP 190 record changers. This cartridge is mounted in a block that is non magnetic so that it isn’t affected by, create, or suffer any losses a metallic cartridge holder may have. It rides low in the tonearm to allow the record changer to play up to 15 records depending on the record thickness and condition. Some adjustment of pick up height adjustment (lowering the tonearm) may be required. This kit was made up for replacement of one of the original RCA cartridges shown in the second gallery photo. The cartridge shown on top of the photo is the most common, which has round pins. The bottom two cartridges have flat pins. If you don’t have any of the cartridges in this photo, or the ones with flat or smaller round pins, you can still use my kit by using option1, or 2 listed below. You will receive instructions with this kit, and you will have 2 options for installation. Tonearm not included for illustration only.

1. Remove all of your existing tonearm wiring and install the new wiring included in this kit. This will require some basic soldering.

2. If your existing cartridge clips are not like the original cartridge shown in the top gallery photo, you can remove the clips on your existing wiring, splice and solder on a section of the new wiring with clips onto your existing wiring.

This cartridge can be hooked up for stereo and plays stereo records thru a stereo amplifier and and plays mono or stereo records in mono thru a mono amplifier. See the list of models below. Other brands will be added.

NOTE: Replacement of the cartridge on all RP190 record changers require removal and reinstallation of the Tonearm, and possible readjustment of the tracking force, tripping and landing adjustments. This information is provided in the instructions that you receive with the kit.

You will receive all of the components to replace your existing cartridge using one of the two options above.

*A new cartridge that has a diamond (needle).

*Two new screws for mounting the cartridge.

*New Tonearm wire with cartridge clips installed for replacing all of your existing wiring.

*Instructions for installation.
