GEN I. These are for 20" Graphite Tuff Wheels

Kool Caps are a product designed to easily make the modernized new school 20" inch Skyway Graphite Tuff Wheels, and Tuff Wheel II's, look like the original Graphite Skyway Tuff Wheels from the early 1980's. Allowing riders to preserve expensive original wheels, while remaining old school cool.

• Generation I Kool Caps. Designed to emulate the original Graphite Tuff wheels of circa '79 to '81. Which had genuine Campagnolo precision loose ball hubs installed on them. These fit onto all versions of new 20" inch Graphite Tuff Wheels. Whereby: Both of your front and rear "convertible" hubs on your wheels look identical. And, are both hubs are all aluminum.

• Now also available in other auctions. Generation 1.1 Kool Caps: The Gen 1.1 Kool Caps have undergone additional machining processes. They are all completely plug and play for Tuff II (non-graphite) Standard Zytel Wheels. Modification to the front wheel is no longer required to install Gen 1.1 Kool Caps onto current 20" inch Tuff Wheel IIs.
 These are for front hubs with a plastic flange surrounding the front hubs, which are clearly smaller metal hubs than are on the rear wheels.

• All Kool Caps are plug and play now, making installation onto all versions of 20" inch Tuff Wheels simple and fast.


These are easily installed with clear, or black, 100% silicone sealant. And they will not come loose under any amount of thrashing!

If your front wheel hub looks exactly like the one shown in this ad's front wheel photo (silver [rare] or gold). And your wheels are 20" Graphite. This is the correct set.

These are NOT designed to fit onto 24" wheels! In some cases, depending on which version of 24" wheels you have, and your level of skill and ingenuity, they can sometimes be made to work on them nicely. Often, they will NOT work on 24" wheels. Please see website listed above for more details on the "Installation" page. Order at your own risk if attempting a 24" installation.
