Published by Herbert Jenkins Limited, London, no date.  Very good minus, first edition book in very good dust jacket. Orange cloth covered board with black lettering on front board panel, black lettering and graphics on spine, publisher's logo stamped in black on the back panel. Boards are bowed.  Extremities sunned.  Several small white specks on front and back panels.  Lower edge at tail of board spine has small closed tears and rubs on the corners.  Upper fore-edge corner tips are rubbed through.  Lower front fore-edge corner has small bump.  External page edges are age/soil-darkened and small amount of foxing is starting.  Previous owner's names on front paste down - along with small bookseller's label, and FFEP. Text pages are age-toned else internally clean.  Text block is sound. 

Dust jacket is soiled and scuffed overall.  Spine and extremities are sunned. All folds are creased and scuffed but not rubbed through.  All upper and lower edges are chipped and creased.  Upper edge at head of jacket spine is rubbed and chipped.  Front corner at head of spine has a 5/8" closed vertical tear along the fold; upper edge of front panel has a 1/4" closed vertical tear to the right of center. Upper left corner of back jacket panel has loss of 1/4" by 1/8" and with an adjacent closed vertical tear of 3/4" along side fore-edge fold. Lower fore-edge corner on back panel is rubbed with loss of less than 1/4"; lower edge has three closed vertical tears of 1/4", 1/4" and 3/8" connected by a 3 3/4" horizontal crease.  Lower edge at tail of jacket spine has several small chips and closed tears of 3/16" or less. Lower edge of front jacket panel has a 3/8" closed vertical tear to the right of spine, a 1/8" closed vertical tear to the right of that, and minimal rub on the lower right front fore-edge corner.  Front inside flap is clipped 2 1/4" by 1 5/8" but price of "5. net" is on spine.
