This striking poster was issued to promote the sale of United States Liberty Bonds in 1918. The artist Walter Whitehead produced one of the more chilling poster images of The Great War as a grim faced American doughboy advances with determination and fixed bayonet over the body of a fallen German soldier.

This vintage original poster has a short tear of about a quarter inch on the right side near the bottom corner, light crease on the upper left hand corner and a couple tiny bookworm holes in the image area.  This poster looks otherwise unused and displays beautifully.  Overall condition is very good.
