If you love WWII memorabilia, you might love this collectible metal souvenir compact...

This lovely metal powder compact case was obviously a souvenir from someone overseas during WWII, possibly even a soldier! The cover is marked 'U.S. Zone', while the interior metal powder case lid is marked 'Vielen Dank Wiesbaden' (Thank You, Wiesbaden -a city in Western-Central Germany). The top lid of this gold-colored case has a mild etched pattern of alternating stripes and wavy line sections. A small button releases the lid open to reveal the interior powder case and a mirror section at inner lid. The powder case section lid is also released with a small button (to the right) and opens to reveal the unused mesh powder-protector section, as well as the soft felted cotton powder pad (also unused). This case has some obvious signs of wear including; metal staining, scratching, broken and mottled mirror pieces -please review photographs for full details.
