   Very often in our work with the maintenance of wood processing plants we face the problem of highly overtightened blades of machines that crack and tear, because often workers can not sharpen the blades well. Poorly sharpened blades do not cut well and this leads to crooked cutting of the wood, to avoid this curving, the workers of the machines themselves start to tighten the blades additionally, overtighten them 2-3 times above the allowable! These poorly sharpened and heavily overtightened blades have a very short life of 2-3 days or a week or two before they are completely destroyed. This constant tearing of blades and buying a new one is very expensive.
The device has repeatedly shown and found machines with such overstretched straps. Some wood processing plants in our country Bulgaria have already purchased such a device from us and successfully use it to control the tension of the strips on their machines.

In this video we are in a wood processing factory where they have a problem with the frequent cracking and tearing of blades on a large-massive band saw with a diameter of 1 meter on the wheels.The problem in this case is the wear of the working part of the wheels, the work of the blade becomes unstable - it goes back and forth continuously. To stabilize the blade in one place, workers tighten the blade further using an extension lever. Thus, in this case, they overstretch the blade twice above the permissible norm and this leads to frequent cracking and tearing of the band saw blades. The last part of the video shows the tension of the blade exactly to the required values ??with the help of the device.
