Material isn’t tagged on item, but given age and dry clean only status, it’s either 100% wool, or a wool/poly blend. Did some research to come to this conclusion as well.

Had to call on one of my friends to help me describe this piece, so the following is his description:

“Looks like an old army class A coat, with a driver's badge and marksman badge, not sure about the red unit patch, or the crests on the shoulder. Not 100% sure, but the ribbon I believe is an armed forces achievement medal.

The rank is Specialist and they served at least 6yrs according to the sleeve.”
