AM Transistor Radio/PAPERWEIGHT LUCITE Sculpture

This AM TRANSISTOR MODEL 40 by WINDSOR has no peer on the Internet. It is working and rates 9.5/10 cosmetically or better.  Receives numerous stations and controls not scratchy.  

It comes with a new 9V battery installed. 

You will occasionally see some small paperweights with two chess pieces embedded.!  But not a heavy block like this with 7 full size pieces, Two knights, one pawn, one rook, a king, queen and bishop on a perfect chessboard.  

The box has seen better days. It survives by having been reinforced . The graphics are complete.  IT comes with the original styrofoam bottom in the box.

The surface is unmarred and optically clear. The material is either lucite or DAISY GLASS. 

It was made in BRITISH Hong Kong. Hence late 60’s.   

Its weight as stated on the box makes it good as a paperweight as well.
