About the camera: Lens has specs/information on it. Trigger press release, gun type handle. "T" and "W" buttons on the front of the camera under the lens area. It is stamped: "Argus, Cinemax 8EE, Made in Japan". Attached lanyard to carry.. Case is silver and black. Turn key style lever to open film compartment. It includes an empty black film spool. There is a number printed under the spool area. It says: No. 404439. The lens also has a number: 296799.
About the carrying case: Heavy duty, thick rugged leather cowhide case/bag with strap. Single, slide and snap in place type closure. Large, roomy compartment to hold camera and film. Front pouch with flap for smaller accessories. It has a lock on the slide. It works and the the key is included inside. Manufacturer card is included but no instruction manual.
Dimensions:
Camera is 11" long by 6-3/4" wide and about 2" deep. Lens is about 1-5/8" in diameter. Flash us about 1.5" long by 1" wide.
Leather case is 12.5" across x 7" wide by 8" tall. Front pouch is 9" wide by 5" long. Camera weighs 3 lbs. 9 oz. With bag, total weight is 5 lbs. 14 oz.

Please be advised we are not camera experts. Details provided here are based on info found online, using the labels and markings, and from the provenance, as we are the current owners. It's vintage and made sometime between 1935 to 1980. This camera was part of a huge collection of cameras and photography accessories that we acquired/inherited from our late beloved dad.

Condition is shown in the photos. Outer casing was gently wiped to take photos. Needs a good cleaning. Lenses have no cracks, scratches. All functions appear to be working. Winder winds and runs when trigger release lever is squeezed. Manual lock works when flipped up to unlock position to reveal film compartment. We don't have film to give it a complete test.
This camera is a solid machine, made to last, reliable, heavy, and extremely well designed to keep on working. Although this camera was not used for any of these reasons, it's maker claims it can sustain the worst possible conditions (extreme cold, extreme heat, shocks) and would be very good as a crash camera.
The leather bag shows wear and scuffs. The name of the prior owner is written in black marker inside the lid. A piece of felt cut to fit it can remedy this issue. Both the zipper going around the case and the lock on the front flap work. Leather is stiff and rugged. Needs cleaning and conditioning.

RETURNS:
We do not accept returns because our items are fragile, antique, vintage, original, 1st edition, rare/one of a kind. If not rewrapped and reboxed sufficiently, they may break on the return trip. We would not be legally responsible to refund the buyer if this should happen. The buyer would be responsible to contact the carrier and file an insurance claim for damages with them to get reimbursed. If you feel that we made an error, please send us a message. We will investigate and offer a solution. If we truly made an error or did not point out a major flaw in our photos, we will offer either a discount if you still wish to keep item or a return label. Refunds issued after item is delivered and inspected. Return requests must submitted within 14 DAYS of DELIVERY DATE. No exceptions.
