Antique Papier Mache Pocket Snuff Box, Pewter Inlay Lid
Nice example of an antique pocket snuff box circa mid 19th Century. Skillfully crafted of papier mache. The lid is styled with a pewter trace inlay and central open cartouche of a shield design. A 1.6cm deep interior, full length brass hinge that closes the lid nice and snug. The colouring and burnished finish of the papier mache looks wonderful from decades of use.
This snuff box is ready to be used, a nice mid box size to pop into a jeans/coat pocket. Perfect to add to your collection and will look super placed on a living room table, display cabinet or hallway sideboard.

🔸 In great solid preloved antique condition. Use markings, edge wear and scratches commensurate to age and use. Some of the inlay has come away in a few places. Hinge, closure working super, nice and snug
