1936 Ski Year Book New Zealand and Australian paperback book

276 pages + 44 pages of advertisements

Book measures about 9.5" x 7.5" x .75"

First 44 pages are all fabulous black and white advertisements ranging from

ski fashion, travel, holiday, Whitehorse Scotch Whiskey, ski resorts,

finance, goldsmiths and silversmiths, food, hotels, ski schools + more

I've shown a picture of the contents page which covers topics such as

the 1936 Winter Olympics, Summer Skiing in N.Z., A Mountain Holiday,

Alpine Photography, Ski Council report, etc.

This ski year book was published on behalf of The New South Wales Ski

Council, The Ski Club of Victoria, etc.

There is a fabulous brochure that is attached inside which folds out

into a nice travel poster by P&O Pleasure Cruises which advertises cruises to

Fiji, Noumea, Papua and New Zealand.  Poster is in colour and black and white.

Book is in fairly good condition considering it's 87 years old.  There is some

wear and damage to the front and back covers which I've shown pictures of.

Page corners are folded in the beginning but get better as you get into the book (no folds).

Some slight staining and some pages are stuck together at the top right corners

There are no missing pages and no loose pages ~ all are intact.

A very rare book to own.  I could see some of the advertisements being

copied and reproduced for framing since their fonts and graphics are very cool.
