Miss Lord's shiny, beautiful auburn hair has been styled in an updo with the sides pulled up and to the side, forming a defined curl to the side of her forehead. Her hair color coordinates perfectly with her smart looking dress. Her makeup is unchanged except for the darker, glossier lipstick which matches her outfit better. Miss Lord wears a fitted crepe dress circa 1950s style.  It has a wide neckline complementing her beautiful shoulders and is long sleeved and falling to just below the knee with a kick pleat in the back. It has an empire waist and is made from two different material patterns that compliment each other well. One pattern on the bodice, and the other on the skirt. Please see photos. The back of the dress is cut sensuously low and snaps up the back. She wears matching tie back ribbon shoes. She wears custom jewelry which is perfect for this ensemble. Her necklace is a multi-stranded beaded necklace with a tassel at the lowest strand. Her beaded dangling earrings match her necklace. And of course she wears nude hosiery. If needed, and to finish her look, she has rain gear. A gold colored raincoat with a hat, purse and rain shoes to match.

NEW STORY:

The film "Sour Grapes" is well into production and some scenes are being shot out of order to save time. The film stars Miss Madra Lord in the lead role as Penny Landon. Madra's assistant, Sophie Clement, has even been cast to play (what else?) her very helpful and kind friend and advisor, in a type of supporting cameo role. Miss Lord's co-stars are Trent Osborn, as Miguel Snowgum, and Gene Marshall, as Valorie Swift.

"Jeez," Madra thinks to herself, "I hope the audience is able to get the gist of this script..." as she tosses her ugly rain hat into the trash.

"Places everyone" said the director's assistant, "quiet on the set, Sour Grapes scene 7 take one."

"Action!" said the director.

The camera zooms in and we see Penny reading a telegram she has just received. The sound bite for the telegram is played for the audience while Penny is reading it.

"Dear Dealer, STOP

Please stop selling your rigmarole as new and unopened by Miguel Snowgum. STOP

This is Miguel Snowgum and I'll be forced to sue you, just to maintain my copyright.  STOP

Your rigmaroles are attractive re-dos but you are mis-labeling them as if they are original prototypes...or something. (???) STOP

I hate doing crap like this but this will need to be addressed.  STOP

Miguel Snowgum STOP

"Gosh," said Penny, "I'm not a dealer and I certainly meant no harm. In fact, I thought Mr Snowgum actually liked my rigmarole." Penny was relatively new to this type of business and since there were no courses she could take, she was having to find her way trying as hard as she could to avoid mistakes. However this was almost impossible... She too was an artist. But she gave all the credit for the designs of the rigmarole that she marketed to Mr Snowgum and his designers. She thought that this was the right thing to do, since originally the rigmarole was his idea.

Penny knows exactly where this is coming from and who actually seems to have a problem with her and so she sends a note by messenger to Valorie Swift. She tells the message boy that Valorie will more than likely be found wherever Miguel Snowgum is, and there's an extra tip for him waiting if he makes the effort to find her. He smiles and takes off.

Split scene-- Valerie comes tumbling into Miguel's place. She looks agitated.

"Are those the same clothes that you were wearing yesterday?" said Miguel.

"Well, you know I've been so upset about this horrible awful Penny doing this thing that's going to be a huge problem for you my dear. I was up all night worrying." said Valorie.

At that moment the messenger boy shows up and hands Valorie Penny's note. Valorie's eyes narrow as she purses her lips. She walks straight over to the telephone, picks it up, and says to the operator, "Get me Penny Landon on the line."

When Penny picks up the phone she must hold it away from her ear because of the loudness. Of course it was Valorie. "Do you know who I am? I'm the queen bee of the G. You can't just take a Dior bag, slap a bow on it and call it a door magical bag."

Penny hung up. "Oh what should I do? This has gotten out of hand. I really don't know what to do." she said aloud as she tried to hold back her tears....then she thought, "Hmmm.... I wonder what a door magical bag is." (haha)

At that moment, Penny's friend, Sophie, walks in and says "oh no! I know your intentions were good. Don't worry I'll help you to fix whatever it is that needs fixing."

"Oh, thank you, Sophie. Thank you so much. I have no idea what I would do without your good advice. But you have always encouraged me and I know you know that I meant no harm to anyone." Sophie smiles and gently touches Penny's arm.

The camera zooms back over tol Miguel's face. "Gee whiz, Valorie, did you show Penny my personal letter to you?"

"Ummm..." Valorie stammers...

"Well I hope we have learned something from this little experience." Miguel said

"Like what?" Valorie said

"Like don't harass and upset an artist over a petty, fixable problem, because you'll end up in their art!"

"Cut!" said the director. That's all for now.....

Madra comes in her original white box and with her original doll stand bearing her name in gold, and COA.

Bonus: as an added delight,  a Gene-sized poster for the film "Sour Grapes", and the telegram that Madra reads in the scene is also included in this lot!
