Sockets for the Two-pin engine wiring harness plug for Excelsior Consort 4F 6F engine, and various machines using the 9E engine.

The Villiers 4F and 6F 98cc engine built in the 1950s and early 60s, used two sockets in the right hand engine case, see the photo of the parts book.  The OEM socket numbers were M2711E and M2712E, and were also used on certain 9E 197cc engines.

As they were made of Bakelite, they were prone to breakage. Replacements have essentially been unobtainable for many years.

This listing is for TWO sockets, one 3mm and one 4mm, made by the same original manufacturer but in a modern material - BLACK polypropylene.  They are New Old Stock from a variety of electronic spares salvage companies. I have made a replica of the locking plate, Villiers E8548, in 0.5mm brass. The pins are spaced at 12mm (0.473”)  ( some of the photos show a stainless steel prototype locking plate. The brass is easier to bend over. )

Note - you need to have the right harness plug to fit this. ie a plug with one 3mm and one 4mm diameter pin.

Please see my other listings for modern replacement sets of plug and sockets, using 4mm pins.

Various colours are available - please contact me and ask.
