Nike Air Force 1 Downtown LOW BHM QS Brown Orange Size 10.5 586582-200 2013.

Marking the 150 years since President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation to end slavery in America, February's observance of Black History Month takes on a special meaning .As with years before, Nike released a limited collection to help commemorate the occasion, including a "quickstrike" edition of Air Force 1 Low Downtown. Celebrating the achievements of all with roots to Africa, designers at Nike created a central design theme around soccer star Didier Drogba. A native of Côte d'Ivoire, or Ivory Coast, Drogba became a key player in Chelsea F.C.'s pursue of multiple titles, including Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League. But, he's proudest of his works with the Côte d'Ivoire National Football Team, which was the runners-up at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Featuring a wealth of references to the culture of Côte d'Ivoire, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Downtown QS includes a premium leather upper in rich hazelnut colorway. Highlights include a tonal pony hair Nike Swoosh logo outlined by Total Orange stitching and matching heel tabs with markings from African art. The design extends into the sockliners as well, with African patterns on one, a montage of Drogba's accomplishments on the other. Finally, a semi-transparent white outsole completes this very intricate design.
