A very fine French violin bow by Joseph Gaude made ca. 1845. Joseph Gaude was excellent bow maker. He was working with       Etienne Pajeot and often in the style of the master. This is excellent example and a WONDERFUL PLAYING BOW in a fine, very pure state of preservation. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of excellent choice, the frog and button are ebony with nickel mountings, the length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g (with tinsel winding).
