Sold for Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary in Fife, Scotland

NEW PRODUCT TWO SWEET TOYS or "THINGY" TOYS!

Welcome to the listing, which helps raise valuable funds for Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary. We are a small group based near Dundee, who specialize in helping feral cats. Sue runs the Group and she does much of the trapping and looking after of the cats. Often she traps, neuters and returns the cats to the same site, where local people have agreed to assist by helping with feeding. Some cats cannot be returned to their site, so they either come to live at Whinnybank or many farmers or stables ask Sue to have some feral cats for their premises.

Rescue of any type can be heart wrenching but also so uplifting. Unfortunately, not every story has a happy ending and the picture shown at number 2 on the picture board demonstrates this.

Mum and kitten. Hang on, is it? Sadly, this is the reality of inbreeding and failure to neuter. The small kitten is the same age as the much bigger one, appallingly they were both about 15 weeks old.

Sadly Pigeon didnt make it. He was given love, affection and a full belly but love was not enough.

Sue and her dedicated fosterers do all they can and at the same time they were dealing with another litter, one died, one is blind and another is touch and go.

Education is the only hope. Neuturing works.

To cover the vets bills incurred but to also make your cat or kitten happy I have made a new product, the sweet toy. This listing is in valerian root, but there is also one for catnip. There are also 4 seperate listings for 2 sweet toys together:

1. Catnip

2. Valerian root

3. 1 catnip and 1 valerian root.

4. 2 catnip.

I am trying to raise £200. So please support this special introductory price of £3 including  UK postage.

Where kittens are caught and are young enough, they are tamed by a willing group of volunteers and they are re-homed as pets. Though the group specialize in ferals, there are so many other cats needing help, where possible Sue takes them in and finds loving homes for them. See Cat Chat for cats needing homes.

Sue realises solely on fundraising to keep this much needed group going and I have for the last 4-5years helped her by selling homemade catnip toys and blankets for her to raise much needed funds. Each catnip toy I make is hand knitted and stuffed with toy stuffing. I use loose, dried catnip and put a good pinch in each. I do not buy the catnip blocks which most shop bought toys use, if you ever looked and smelt one you would know why your cat plays with the new toy for a day or two and then leaves it.

I have sold thousands of catnip toys and I have had reported on more than 50 times that owners have arrived home to find the parcel broken open by their cat and the toys well chewed! As I make each toy freshly, delivery time can vary. Please be patient, as for instance over Christmas I was ill and as a result there were delays in sending items out. I always try to dispatch orders as quickly as possible but please be patient and unfortunately I have had a number of orders go missing in the Royal Mail. If this happens, I always replace the order and claim off them. I do not track my orders as this would involve more expense to my customers but if you prefer I can do either recorded or change postage to 1st class for a small extra fee. For larger orders I use MyHermes and this will be tracked.

I also donate catnip toys to Whinnybank and a number of other cat rescue centres free of charge to help. To help cats and kittens settle they are homed with their mouse toy by the groups.I do a very large range of goods and to keep costs down I do not always have all my products on Ebay or as you may have a multi-cat household the number desired in listings. Please contact me via “My Messages” and I can give you details and then put a specific order listing on for you.If you pay by cheque it really helps as well, as the group can use the very high Paypal fees saved to buy extra food.

Thank you for reading this and Happy Bidding!!!!!
